William Wiesmann, M.D.

Dr. William Wiesmann served as the Director for Combat Casualty Care at the U.S. Army Medical Research and Materiel Command Post, at Ft. Detrick, where he led the design and development teams that produced novel medical technologies. He is a member of the University of Cincinnati Department of Biomedical Engineering External Advisory Board and a member of the National Council at Washington University School of Medicine. He is a Trustee Emeritus at Harvey Mudd College in Claremont, California and recently served as an Ethan A.H. Shepley Trustee at Washington University. In 2008 he received an honorary doctorate of science from the University of Cincinnati recognizing his accomplishments in military and civilian trauma medicine. Dr. Wiesmann is a co-inventor of all Synspira technology.
